Downtown Washington, DC
Shuttles are available between Gaylord National and Downtown Washington, DC from two different locations: Union Station (H Street and 2nd Street, NE) and the Old Post Office (1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW). The shuttle departs every 90 minutes, from 9:30 am at Union Station and from 10:00am at the Old Post Office. The last shuttle leaves Gaylord National’s main entrance at 7:30 pm. A roundtrip ticket costs $20.

Gaylord National is just a 15-minute drive from Reagan National Airport and within a 45-minute drive from Dulles and Baltimore Washington International Airports. Shuttle service and car service are available from either airport to the hotel. Hertz is a Gaylord Hotels preferred partner for car rentals. And for a unique day trip, take a water taxi across the Potomac to historic Old Town Alexandria.

Ronald Reagan National Airport:
Gaylord National is now proud to offer an exclusive, express shuttle to and from Reagan National Airport.This convenient new service will depart every twenty minutes from Gaylord National's front door to Reagan National Airport, and every twenty minutes from the Reagan National Airport baggage claim.

Reservations are recommended, but tickets also will be available from the SuperShuttle desk, located on the lower level of the airport, near baggage claim.

Driving Directions
Gaylord National is 15 minutes due south of Washington, D.C.—just off the Capital Beltway (I-95/I-495)—making it an easy drive from the surrounding Maryland and Virginia areas as well.

The brand-new National Harbor development may not register yet on some older GPS systems. If you are concerned about your GPS accurately displaying National Harbor, please use the detailed driving directions below.

From Reagan National Airport (DCA) — approximately 8 miles, 15 minutes

• Follow signs to George Washington Parkway South (to Alexandria)
• Take George Washington Parkway South toward Alexandria
• Veer Right at the sign to Slaters Lane. Take a Right at the traffic light onto Slaters Lane
• Follow signs to US Route 1 South and merge onto US Route 1 South (N. Henry Street). Proceed on Henry Street through Old Town Alexandria
• Follows signs to I-95 North (Maryland)
• Veer Right at signs toward I-95
• Veer Left toward I-95 (Baltimore/Maryland signs) and merge onto I-95 North /I-495 East (Capital Beltway - Outer Loop)
• Cross Woodrow Wilson Bridge toward Maryland
• Take Exit 2A toward National Harbor
• Once on National Harbor property, turn right on St. George Street
• Follow signs to Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center

From Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) — approximately 35 miles, 45 minutes

• Follow Airport Exit signs
• Take VA-267 East toward Washington and follow signs to I-495 South toward Richmond/Alexandria
• Take I-495 South (Capital Beltway - Outer Loop) toward Richmond/Alexandria
• Continue on Capital Beltway, but merge with I-495 East/ I-95 North toward Baltimore
• Stay to right, following signs for Local Traffic to National Harbor
• Cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge toward Maryland
• Take Exit 2A toward National Harbor
• Once on National Harbor property, turn right on St. George Street

From Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) — approximately 42 miles, 45 minutes

• Follow Airport Exit signs toward Washington DC
• Take exit 2B for MD 295-South / Baltimore Washington Parkway toward Washington
• Merge onto 295-South toward Washington
• Stay on 295-South for about 35 miles
• Take Exit 1B (the very last exit on 295-South, past exit 1) toward National Harbor
• Once on National Harbor property, turn right on St. George Street

From Washington, D.C. — approximately 10 miles, 20 minutes

From Gaylord National, experience an exciting new way to interact with the river that is not only fun, but also practical. Water taxi service is available to and from several points around Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland.

Potomac Riverboat Company operates a water taxi service that allows travelers to explore this historic region from the dynamic perspective of the Potomac River.

Cruise to Old Town Alexandria to shop, dine and experience this historic city. Visit President George Washington's home at Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens. Or, take a trip to Georgetown with a breathtaking view of the monuments along the way.
